Students explore their communities and work together to answer one powerful question:
“What problem in your community needs a solution?”
Teams then follow a simple innovation process.
Step 1 — Listen
Students talk to local businesses, organizations, and community members to understand real needs.
Step 2 — Choose
Each team selects one challenge they want to solve.
Step 3 — Create
Using creativity, teamwork, and AI tools, students design possible solutions.
Step 4 — Present
Teams present their ideas and explain how their solutions could help their community.
Every Y.E.P. team is invited to take on a real-world challenge: go into the community, identify one need, and create one meaningful solution.
This helps students practice listening, leadership, entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and communication while seeing that they can make an impact now.
